As I look back over my life I am overwhelmed with gratitude to God for how He has so graciously worked in my life. I have been married eleven years to my wife Bonnie whom God has used tremendously as my best friend and biggest spiritual encourager. Our children are full of life and have brought incredible joy into our lives.

I grew up in New Jersey and then graduated from Bible college and seminary in Pennsylvania in pastoral ministries.  I spent one year doing youth ministry in Akron, Ohio and then spent six months teaching at a Bible college in Cape Town, South Africa.  While in Africa, God gave Bonnie and me a deeper love for cross-cultural ministry, thus preparing us for our ministry here in Elgin.

I have been the senior-pastor at Community Baptist since 2003.  I count it an amazing privilege to be a part of a diverse community of believers that is committed to loving God and people.  I thank the Lord for how He is building His church and reflecting His Kingdom here in Elgin and around the world.  God is so good as He continues to lead and grow us to represent Him.   We recognize as a church that we are completely dependent on Christ each step of the way.
